Episode 66: Palestine

Zaib welcomes back Sarosh Jafri for another discussion and this time around the Palestinian struggle in the Middle East against an apartheid state.

They talk about the South Asian (particularly Shia) perspective on the ongoing situation, the effectiveness of our responses (or lack thereof), THAT Malala tweet (although this was recorded before her clear stance video was released), bigotry amongst the Muslim fraction with selective outrage (esp. given the brutalities, the Shias of Hazaras faced in the same week).

The episode also features a random plug of Austin Chaiwala, something Sarosh has been pushing for quite some time (also visible from the hoodie he was sporting). Who says activism and Kashmiri chai don't go together?
